How to maintain and repair ultrasonic cleaners
Addtime:2019-03-21 09:46:54 Visits:837 Share:

The ultrasonic cleaning machine is composed of ultrasonic transducers, ultrasonic cleaning tanks and ultrasonic generators. The tank of the ultrasonic cleaning machine is made of high-quality stainless steel that is strong, elastic and corrosion-resistant, and ultrasonic transducer oscillators are installed at the bottom. The ultrasonic generator generates high-frequency and high-voltage electricity, which is transmitted to the transducer through the cable connection line. The transducer and the vibration plate produce high-frequency resonance together, thereby causing the solvent in the cleaning tank of the ultrasonic cleaning machine to be affected by ultrasonic waves to clean the dirt. So, how should we carry out daily maintenance and care for ultrasonic cleaners?
Common problems with ultrasonic cleaning machine generators include: 1) The DC fuse of the ultrasonic cleaning machine has blown. It could be that the rectifier bridge stack or power transistor is burned out, or it could be that the transducer is aged and the current is unstable. All these could cause the power generator to malfunction. Extra care should be taken during maintenance. 2) When the power switch of the ultrasonic cleaner is turned on, the indicator light does not light up. When repairing in this situation, it is necessary to check whether the power switch is in good condition and whether the leakage switch is closed. If the switch is in good condition and then check whether the fuse has blown due to overload, the problem can basically be solved. 3) After turning on the power switch of the ultrasonic cleaner, the indicator light is on, but there is no ultrasonic output. This situation is rather complicated. When conducting maintenance, first check if the connection plug between the transducer and the ultrasonic power board is loose, and then check if the fuse has blown. If everything is normal, it might be an internal fault of the ultrasonic power generator. Use a multimeter to check if both the open wire and the live wire of the power cord are connected. After eliminating the generator fault, check whether the ultrasonic transducer is burned out and whether it needs to be replaced. 4) After the power switch of the ultrasonic cleaner is turned on, the machine has ultrasonic output, but the cleaning effect is not as ideal as before. This situation is mostly caused by improper use, such as the liquid level of the cleaning solution in the cleaning tank being too high or too low. The ultrasonic frequency coordination was not properly adjusted. The temperature of the liquid in the cleaning tank is too high or too low. The cleaning solution was improperly selected or used in insufficient quantities. Of course, it is not ruled out that if the transducer comes off the adhesive, most of the ultrasonic energy cannot be transmitted to the cleaning solution. In this case, it should be sent back to the manufacturer for repair in time to avoid burning out the oscillator. Common problems with ultrasonic cleaning machine transducers include: 1) The ultrasonic transducer gets damp. Generally, a megohmmeter is used to check the plug connected to the transducer. By inspecting the insulation resistance value between the positive and negative poles of the transducer, a judgment can be made. The insulation resistance is generally required to be greater than 30 megohms. If the insulation resistance value cannot be reached, it is very likely that the transducer is damp. The maintenance method is to place the entire transducer (excluding the powder-coated shell) in an oven set at around 100℃ and dry it for three hours or use a hair dryer to remove moisture until the resistance value returns to normal. The transducer oscillator sparks, causing the ceramic material to shatter. When conducting maintenance, a combination of visual inspection and a megohmmeter can be used for checking. Generally, as an emergency measure, individual damaged transducers can be disconnected without affecting the normal operation of other transducers. 2) Generally, after the vibrator experiences delamination, the output power of the ultrasonic power supply remains normal. However, due to poor connection between the vibrator and the vibration surface, the vibration effect of the vibration surface is not good. Over a long period of time, as the energy cannot be released, the vibrator is very likely to be burned out. The delamination of the oscillator is rather troublesome for users to repair. Generally, it can only be sent back to the manufacturer for maintenance. The most effective way to prevent the vibrator from delaminating is to be careful not to strike the vibration surface during normal use. 3) Perforation of the vibration surface. After several years of full-load operation, ultrasonic transducers may experience perforation on the vibration surface. This is due to the fatigue of the stainless steel plate on the vibration surface caused by long-term high-frequency vibration. Perforation on the vibration surface indicates that the service life of the transducer has come to an end, and in maintenance, it is generally necessary to replace it. 4) Transducer delamination. We know that most manufacturers fix the transducer by adhesive, but after long-term use of the ultrasonic cleaner, delamination may occur due to vibration. Some manufacturers use a method of bonding and screw fastening. Generally, there will be no delamination. Due to the effect of the screws, the vibrator will not fall off the vibrating surface after delamination. The common way to judge is to gently shake the tail of the vibrator with your hand and carefully observe the glue condition on the vibrating surface to make a judgment.
