How to choose the power of an ultrasonic cleaner?

When the power is too high
When the power of the ultrasonic cleaner is high, the sound intensity increases, the radius of cavitation bubbles and the initial radius increase, and the cavitation intensity increases. That is, the higher the sound intensity, the stronger the cavitation effect, which is conducive to the cleaning effect. However, it is not the case that the higher the power, the better the cleaning effect. Instead, it is about choosing the ultrasonic power correctly and reasonably.

2. The power is too small
The higher the sound power, the more obvious the cavitation effect, which will generate a large number of useless bubbles, increase diffraction attenuation and form a sound barrier. Meanwhile, the greater the sound intensity, the greater the nonlinear attenuation, which will affect the cleaning effect of the components to be cleaned that are far from the sound source. In addition, the cavitation corrosion of the ultrasonic cleaning machine when cleaning the vibrating disc is more severe, resulting in a shorter service life of the equipment. If the power of ultrasonic cleaning is too small, it will affect the cleaning time of the workpiece, resulting in an excessively long cleaning time or a deviation in the cleaning effect.

3. Power selection
Therefore, when we usually choose ultrasonic cleaning equipment, if the height of the workpiece is generally within 30cm, then when the height of the inner tank of the selected ultrasonic cleaning equipment is approximately 40cm, select a single vibration plate at the bottom and maintain a power of 0.3 to 0.5W per square centimeter. If the workpiece is too large or the volume of each cleaning is too large, the height of the water tank we choose is over 40cm. Generally, it is calculated by the power per liter, and 11w/L is usually selected.
